Over the past 30 years, duty flashlight performance was limited by the capabilities of bulbs and batteries.

Conventional flashlights are inherently fragile. They will fail due to bulb burn-out or impact. Nickel Cadmium (NiCad) battery powered bulb flashlights loose their full-charge capacity due to re-charge memory effect. And since they contain toxic heavy metal, disposal is a problem.

As a result, professionals were forced to use flashlights with inferior performance, intermittent reliability and high long-term cost of ownership.

After hundreds of face-to-face interviews and more than two years of extensive R & D, Bayco the leader in LED task light innovation, confirmed that public safety professionals were eager for a duty flashlight solution with significantly more reliability, more utility and above all, enhanced personal safety. Failing bulbs and short run-times were the main safety concerns. NIGHTSTICK not only solves those problems but raises the performance bar of duty flashlights by including floodlight capability.

NIGHTSTICK is all LED for maximum reliability and dual-function, for maximum utility. Optimized Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries power the NIGHTSTICK. The battery pack has almost twice the energy capacity, has no re-charge memory effect and accepts a fast charge while being environmentally friendly eliminating disposal problems.

NIGHTSTICK brings together brilliant white-light LEDs that have an operating life of 10s of thousands of hours. They are unaffected by impact and illuminate the object with no color distortion, Even the best halogen or krypton bulbs produce a yellow color light that distorts the appearance of the object being illuminated. The NiMH battery pack provides extraordinary run-times with no memory-effect which is typical of NiCad batteries. The NIGHTSTICK design integrates flashlight and floodlight functionality into one exceptionally rugged package providing the public safety professional with fingertip activated lighting options for any situation.
