We are often asked why we call ourselves “Utility” Communications when our products and services are so diversified. The answer is that back in the 1970’s during our infancy, our largest accounts were the local “utilities”, and hence the name Utility Communications was born.
Over the years, many aspects of our business have changed, but we remain devoted to our customers and are proud to be one of the largest, most advanced radio communications and wireless data system providers in the area. As we continue to grow, we constantly progress into new areas of expertise. Now, other progressive technologies such as in-vehicle computers, camera and card access systems are a vital part of our business. Instead of a service fleet of mostly vans, we now have 4-wheel drive SUVs’, trucks, vans, service deployment units and an aerial lift truck. Our highly skilled experts include our sales and consulting staff, a service team of technicians, installers, system engineers, project managers and licensed electricians. The times have changed, but our Utility Communications roots hold true: we are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality of products and services available to our industry today.
